Woodward Design Build is currently looking to fill a position for an Estimating Assistant. I have had success in the past with students that are looking to gain insight and guidance as they determine their path in the construction field and wanted to reach out to students in your program. I am looking for someone that is reliable, organized, trainable, self-motivated and responsible. We are very understanding for school related leave and willing to work around school schedule for the right candidate.
The available position is part time (20 hours/week) and requires use of Outlook, Teams and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint & Excel). As a Design Build general contractor, the candidate will gain experience and knowledge in dealing with all aspects of the commercial construction process.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting estimating/preconstruction department
- Manage subcontractor/supplier database
- Prepare/Issue Invitations to Bid
- Prepare Bid Forms
- Organize/Distribute subcontractor bids to Estimators
